Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Wednesday lambasted the police for harassing and asking the parents of the girls associated with the organization, and also well wishers to visit police stations in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district. “For the past many days, the police officials in Islamabad especially Additional SP, Tahir Ashraf Bhatti, has been harassing the parents of girls who are either members or well-wishers of DeM by continuously asking them to visit police stations,” DeM spokesperson, Rifat Fatima, said in a statement. She said that it is tactic to harass and subjugate these innocent girls and women who are dedicated to the cause of DeM.

“I want to tell this puppet government and its shameless police that the cadres of DeM or their parents are not so weak that they will appear before police whenever they are called,” she added. Rifat said that it is utter shameful and frustration of police that they are asking the faithful, Purdah-clad Muslim daughter to visit police stations. “These girls live their life as ordained to them by the Almighty Allah and by threatening them and forcing them to visit police stations is something which will not be tolerated and accepted by the DeM and people of Kashmir. The aim of this harassment and threats is to break our resolve which is impossible,” Rifat added. She said that the members of DeM will sacrifice their lives but won’t act on diktats of these policemen.

She said that two of the innocent girls including Tanfiah Rasool and Sumaira Rasool have infact been lodged in Sadar police station Islamabad under police remand. Rifat said that the DeM is being targeted since past one and half month by the puppet government by using its brute force. “The aim of this puppet government seems to crush the DeM, that is why the party chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, general secretary, Nahida Nasreen and press secretary, Sofi Fehmeeda are being kept under illegal lodgment and false cases are being made to keep them jailed for a long time,” she said. She said that by jailing the members of DeM, the puppet government must understand that it can’t jail or cage the ideology of this organization.

“This is an ideology which is not confined to Kashmir only but has reached wherever Muslims are present in the world. India is not at war with just DeM but is at war with the ideology called as Islam. By jailing few women, India and its stooges are mistaken that they can cage this ideology.” Meanwhile, Rifat paid glowing tributes to the Mujahideen who were martyred in Tangdhar last month.” Funeral prayers of two of our brothers including Mudasir Ahmad of village of Kulgam and Sheraz Ahmad Sheikh of Lajoora village of Pulwama were held in which thousands of people participated and multiple funerals were held and were laid to rest wrapped in the Pakistan flag which represents the pious Islamic ideology,” she added.

Rifat said that the puppet government and its police should understand that it is an ideology based on the principle Kalimah Tawheed and no amount of oppression or suppression can force to revert from this pious path. “ May the Allah SWT bestow the Mujahedeen with highest place in Janta-ul-Firduas and give patience to their family members."
